TMD and TMJ Symptoms and Signs

The most common symptoms of TMJ and TMD are:

  • Facial pain (may be located behind the eyes, in the ears, or in the jaw muscle)
  • Pain when opening or closing mouth
  • Trouble Chewing
  • Jaw becoming stuck open or shut
  • Headaches
  • Clicking or Popping Sounds When Opening Your Mouth
  • Undiagnosed Hearing Problems/Sight Problems
  • Neck Stiffness
  • Limited Range of Motion in the Neck/Jaw
  • Grinding or Clenching of teeth
  • Jaw Stiffness
